Crispy Chicken Tatziki: Crispy chicken fillet in a whole new level
This one could beat all Chicken Burger in the city, presenting the Crispy Chicken Tzatziki!

Taco Loco Burger: The burger that could make you crazy after the first bite.
Their Taco Loco magically taste like a real Taco. This one is BB's trademark, Taco Loco Burger (P95),  a quarterpounder with Mexican spices and Asian salsa which they say surprisingly a best-seller.

Aloha Burger: Aloha! Burger comes with a quarter pounder, pineapple, letuce and tomato. *drools*

Mexican foodie? Grab a Taco Bell Meaty Griller!

Taco Bell Food Express, Gateway Mall branch

Before we started, Taco Bell served us a Bucket Nachos with a dip which is perfect for on-the-go take-outs. Ms. Max gave us a brief history of Taco Bell, on how a humble beginnings turned-out to be an international food chain.

Bucket Nachos

Inspired with the new nearby restaurant, McDonalds, Mr. Glen Bell opened Bell’s Burger Stand. Yes, the founder, put up a burger stand and there, McDonald brothers and Glen Bell started the burger revolution and both business grew a number of burger stands and stores. But as they grew, competitors also grew so Mr. Glen decided to offer a new product, there came the Taco. Unfortunately, Americans were not so fond of eating Tacos as they only find it to be eaten in a sit-down resto.  Mr. Glen Bell is a man of hopes, he created a CRUNCHY TACO SHELLS. From Taco Tia, to El Taco the business was suggested to be combined with his name and there Taco Bell was born.

Did you know that the owner of  Taco Bell and franchise owner of Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen here in the Philippines are the same?

During the “story telling”, we were also served with “Taco Bell Meaty Grillers”. The Meaty Griller is the newest product of Taco Bell and it comes into two variety.

First is the Chili Cheese Potato Griller. If you are fond of cheese and potato, this is just so perfect for you. It has Chili Beef, Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Sauce, Potato Bites, Flour Tortilla. How was it? It’s a little spicy. It was fine, I am not just a fan of cheesy plus spicy food.
Chili Cheese Potato Griller

Do you like Bistek Tagalog or Pork Steak? Me? I do. So, this next variety suits my taste very well.  Pork Steak ‘N Onion has Fiesta Rice, Pork BBQ toppings, Pepper Jack Sauce, Diced Onions and Flour Tortilla in it. How was it? It tasted so Filipino and I love it!

Pork Steak N' Onion

The Meaty Grillers A la Carte price is just Php85 which is very affordable for your hungry tummy. While the combo price is Php149 which comes with a Crunchy Taco and drink. I’d suggest you buy the combo so can save Php14. Oh! By the way, Crunchy Taco was  superb as it was filled with seasonal beef, crispy shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese.
Cutie Taco Bell Mascott

What are you waiting for? Head to the Taco Bell shop, you can find one in Trinoma and two in Gateway mall. Follow them on their Facebook page, Taco Bell Philippines for upcoming promos and new products.

Before I forgot, kudos to the Zomato team for picking Taco Bell as part of their event!  Also, for foodies, don't forget to download the Zomato App on your smartphone. Seriously, it'll help you a lot!

Ho Chi Minh City – Day 1

Since we arrived midnight, we can’t find bus and only the Taxi can bring you to District 1. As recommended by other reviews, choose only cab from Mai Linh or Vinasun. It is not hard to find one as you can see them in Airport but be sure that the cab uses the meter.
We checked-in to Hongkong Kaiteki Hotel. The receptionist is quite snobbish maybe because we arrived in a midnight and unintentionally disturbed their sleep. Hoho! We were provided with a towel, toothbrush,  glass and a key to your locker. We were booked for a Business Capsule, a bunker type rooms.  I didn’t had a good stay not to  mention the aircon temperature.  We had a short nap since we will meet by 7:00 AM for the city tour. We had breakfast at a mini eatery for 35,000 VND. Oh! before I forgot, iced tea in Vietnam is different from what we are used to order in the Philippines.

Since Day 1 morning is intended for city tour, we’re planning to walk around the city but was changed because we rode a cyclo. Never ride a cyclo or be fooled. (Read the cyclo experience here)

We took lunch in another eatery which cost us 50,000 VND without drinks. After lunch, we headed to our tour to Cu Chi Tunnel. I did enjoy this one since the tour was very informative and you’ll have your Ah! moments. Living under the ground is really hard not to mention the darkness and narrow tunnel.

Tourists will be lead first here to have a brief knowledge about Vietnam War.
This was made by the Vietnamese as a trap for the American soldier.
Ant hill where Vietnamese get their air to breath under ground, but for us Filipino, we call this “Nuno sa Punso”.

We went back to District 1 and had dinner at Pho24 for 84,000 VND. You’ll find one in the Ben Than road.
Don't missed the chance to taste their Caramel Plan.
